Thesis
For my thesis project at the University of Georgia, I researched the role logotype has to play within a flexible brand identity meant to withstand the increasing overturn of trend in the fashion industry, and how logotype can reflect a brand's perceived prestige. To do so I selected Dior as a case study, an older brand that has yet to stray from their high-contrast, classic sans-serif logo. I designed a fully editable variable logotype based off of this that would give Dior the range to appeal to both their classic clientele and Hypebeast aficionados while maintaining the character of the original. I then selected iterations of this logotype and used it as the centerpiece on three hand-dyed and screen-printed silk scarves.
